PAUL suggests a simple, low cost, technique. He always caries a packet of Listerine Breath Strips (or similar products by Eclipse, or generic breath strips). After emptying the pouch, if he has an odor concern, he inserts one of the strips through the pouch drain into the pouch). The strip dissolves as the pouch refills, and deodorizes the pouch and its contents. The freshening effect of that one strip continues through several drainings of the pouch.
